Greville Street & Grattan Gardens, Prahran
BioRhythm is an adaptable sculpture that comes alive by synthesising the biofeedback of plants and urban surroundings, transforming the data into living soundscapes and explosions of colour.
ABOUT
COMBINING
TECHNOLOGY
AND NATURE
BioRhythm is a multi-sensory landscape and immersive public art installation which will transform the public square at the junction of Greville Street & Grattan Gardens from April to July 2024.
BioRhythm is a living, adaptable sculpture that transforms biofeedback from endemic plants and the surrounding urban environment into soothing explosions of colour and a constantly evolving light and sound show.
By blurring the lines between biology, technology and place, BioRhythm fosters learning and connection whilst igniting curiosity and discovery within the public realm.
As people move through the installation, visitors are invited to explore nature's intrinsic role in urban environments and deepen their perspective on place as they delve into QR code-enhanced educational materials.
Rewilding Tour
How can communities foster biodiversity and reconnect with traditional knowledge in their urban neighborhoods?
Join Rewilding Stonington on a tour showcasing some of their recent projects around Prahran. The tour will commence at BioRhythm, a biophilic art installation guided by Rewilding Stonington’s knowledge on endemic plant species, before proceeding on foot around Prahran.
